Tottenham – Manchester Utd

Tottenham Hotspur hosts Manchester United in the big derby of the 36th round of the Premier League.
After losing the title race to Chelsea, Tottenham now has one main goal in mind – to keep the second place in the standings. Manchester United, on the other hand, are currently 6th, but they can move closer to Liverpool and Arsenal if they manage to win at the White Hart Lane.
Keep in mind that Manchester United’s main goal until the end of the season is winning the Europa League. Because of that, it won’t be surprising if the Red Devils’ manager Jose Mourinho picks some of his reserve players for this trip to London. As for Tottenham, they had a terrific season in the Premier League and they were beaten in terms of performance only by the new champion Chelsea. They still have the best defense in the league though, having conceded just 23 goals in 35 matches played. The home team will be without the services of Erik Lamela, Harry Winks, and Cameron Carter-Vickers, who are still recovering from injuries. Everyone else in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad is fit and ready to play.Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho will be without the services of Belgian international Marouane Fellaini, who is suspended. Out because of injuries are Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Ro-Shaun Williams. Paul Pogba is also probably missing the game because of his father’s death. We could say that Tottenham is the heavy favorite to win this one. Not just because they are performing much better than United in the league, but also because Manchester United’s attention is directed mainly towards Europa League. It doesn’t mean that the Red Devils are still not possessing a threat, but it’s fair to say that the home team has the advantage.
